whereupon realizing I was in a dream, I immediately squinted my eyes, knowing that if I opened them too widely, my real eyes would open and I would wake up.

So I walked around the lingerie store I was in, went up to the girl at the register, and said to her, “This is really weird, but I just realized I’m dreaming right now. I’m in a lucid dream…” She just smiled and replied, “I’ve heard that happens to people from time to time.”

This was true, but also very strange, so I asked her, “But have you been in someone else’s dream before?” And because the answer was just as clear, she said, “No, I haven’t.”  

I then asked her, “So, who are you?”

And with the first sign of hesitation, she said, “I don’t know…”
